Behold: The Sliding Glass House
Kandy Harris | February 25, 2015Just in time for Unusual Properties Week but, sadly, not located in upstate New York, this A-Frame barn style house is actually in Suffolk, England. The dRMM-designed abode is pretty snazzy looking to be sure. However, the real kicker is that a motor that slides a house-shaped shell from the front section to the back section of the house, exposing different parts of the house to light at different times. To see the whole thing in action, take a look at the GIFS, or check out the designer’s site for more information about the house. Can one of our builders please tackle something like this for us in the Upstater area so we can come and play with the button that moves the shell? Also, this is one brilliant way of dealing with having to clean all of that pesky class. Just slide the shell over it. No one will be the wiser.
