No decorator? No problem. Some houses come with the furniture, which might be really great or a big drag, depending on the furnishings and your vision for your new abode. Would you ever consider it? We’ve been mulling it over, and we admit that the thought of not having to wedge another couch through the front door ever again sounds mighty appealing. Then again, we have specific tastes and enjoy the process of feng-shuing it all together. What would you do? If you’re considering making a burn pile from your current furniture and starting all over again, here a couple of options in Greene County that look promising:

449 Route 23c, Hunter: $315,000

This Arts & Crafts cottage is pretty high on the charm scale and includes a full acre-and-a-half of land. Listing says the furnishings were purchased in 2010, so still fairly new. Situated just north of Tannersville village less than 10 minutes from Hunter Mountains. Beds: 3. Baths: 2. Square Feet: 1560. Taxes: $3634. 449 Route 23C, Tannersville (Gene Gordon Realty) GMAP.

572 County Route 40, Jewett: $335,000

This one seems like it might be a good deal: Two houses, plus 2 acres of land, plus a swimming pond. Oh, and of course, all the furnishings contained herein. Some of the stuff doesn’t look half bad, but mostly we love the property’s surroundings. So beautiful and so close to Windham Mountain. Beds: 3. Baths: 2. Square Feet: 1981. Lot Size: 1.9 acres. Taxes: $5328. 572 County Route 40, Jewett (Village Green Realty) GMAP
