Car-Free Country House: Craftsman in Amenia, $259,900

  |  October 24, 2012

This house definitely falls under the category of “Looks Better Outside Than Inside”, but that’s not to say that the interior doesn’t have potential. Because it does. Loads of it, in fact. The floors look great, and if you can manage to look past the whacky wallpaper in every single room, we think this place could be absolutely adorable. It’s located about 2.5 miles from the Wassaic Metro-North station, which is too far to hoof it, but Amenia does have a cab service (Delango Taxi) that makes runs from the station to local destinations. Other stuff in the village is walking distance, though, like a pizza place and the library; the grocery store, however, is less accessible since it’s nearly 2 miles away.
