Car-Free Country House: Farmhouse in Phoenicia, $249,000

  |  August 8, 2012

For a while there, we weren’t seeing a lot of action in Phoenicia real-estate-wise. Things are picking up again, and we’ve been eye-balling some nice, affordable properties, like this farmhouse on nearly 2 acres. It’s located about 4.5 miles south of Phoenicia, which certainly puts it in a country setting, but it’s still close enough that you could hop on your bike at the Trailways bus station and be home in about 30 minutes. Other than the front porch looking like it could use a fresh coat of paint, it looks just lovely on the inside. Simple and cozy.

Consider this the requisite warning regarding Phoenicia: The creeks flood. You know the rest.
