Cut a Tree, Stay in a B&B in Ulster County
Upstater Staff | December 9, 2014Three Ulster County B&Bs are offering specials for those heading upstate to cut a Christmas tree. The 1850 House & Tavern in Rosendale, Captain Schoonmaker’s Bed & Breakfast in High Falls, and Inn at the Ridge in Wallkill have teamed with Ulster County Alive! and a variety of area tree farms to draw people to the mid-Hudson Valley for a country holiday weekend getaway. The 1850 House will be providing tree-seekers hot buttered rum, breakfast, and appetizers before and after their excursion to Bell’s Tree Farm in Accord. Meanwhile, the Inn at the Ridge will pony up $59 toward any tree cut by guests who stay at the c.1796 farmhouse (3 night min., 50% off the third night). Guests of Captain Schoonmaker’s B&B can sip from a complimentary bottle of wine and enjoy a $40 gift certificate to the Egg’s Nest restaurant before they go to find their perfect tree at Bell’s Farm.
