Cute Arts & Crafts Cottage in Callicoon Center, $89,000
Kandy Harris | January 29, 2016Not so much land here with this 1930s Craftsman bungalow-style home, which is a bummer. Even in the far western Catskills, where the property is located, finding a five-figure property on tons of land (especially one that isn’t a total gut renovation) is not so easy. But we’ll take a quarter-acre in charming Callicoon Center based strictly on the pretty countryside and charming Callicoon Center hamlet alone.
The 1200 sq. ft. home is divided up into 4 beds/1 bath with an attractive wood staircase, enclosed front and back porches, roomy kitchen, and even a little stained glass thrown in for good measure. And, we’re sure there are wood floors beneath the carpet. Floodsmart.gov classifies the property as high-risk for flooding, yet another bummer. Still, it’s pristine on the inside, if a bit dated, and we would love to see it with an update.
5 Bethlehem Road, Callicoon Center (Matthew J. Freda Real Estate)
