Deal: Half-off Lift Tickets to Plattekill Mountain

We didn’t know that newspapers had their own Groupons, but then this deal flashed through our inbox: $28 for a lift-ticket on Plattekill Mountain in Roxbury, NY, courtesy of Newsday.

The reason we’re sharing this with you? Upstate New York ski resorts are having a tough time, between the recession and global warming. It costs big bucks to make snow! So we thought this would be a good way to show some upstate spirit and get an affordable day of skiing.

Of course, when we went to the Plattekill Mountain website, they were offering $15 lift tickets. So, the deals get better.
