Enjoy Your Summer on Greenwood Lake in an A-Frame Cottage, $215,000
Kandy Harris | June 18, 2015The village of Greenwood Lake is in Orange County, just north of the New Jersey state line. In fact, half of the lake spans into Jersey, but this 3 bed/1 bath cottage is on the NY side, and while it comes with lake rights, it’s not directly on the water (hence, it’s more affordable). Poking around the Greenwood Lake website, we were fairly impressed with the amount of activities and amenities the lake community has to offer, including lots of group recreation, live music and entertainments, tons of restaurants and shopping, and, of course, boating/swimming/fishing, etc. After all, Greenwood Lake is a designated village, not just a conglomeration of lake homes. And, NJ Transit buses run from the NY Port Authority to the Greenwood Lake Park and Ride. But back to the house. The cottage isn’t an A-Frame in the strictest sense, but the family room is and comes with a wall of windows and a balcony, as depicted above. Fun Fact: We hear Jeter has a place on the west side of the lake. Imagine bumping into him while you’re grabbing your morning coffee at the local bakery.
