Germantown Renovated Farmhouse, $994,000
Upstater Staff | December 19, 2014Might as well end this week of vintage farmhouses with a bang. This renovated 19th century house located 10 minutes outside of Germantown hamlet is close in price range to the property we posted on Monday. That one, however, isn’t even on a half-acre of land, which is a tough sell when you get toward the million dollar mark. On the other hand, this property is on 48 acres of land and includes several barns and outbuildings. But is it as beautiful on the inside? It’s different, yes, but just as gorgeous, more rustic feeling with more little artsy touches here and there, like the tree truck stair case banister and the rough-hewn wood window frames. Also includes mountain views, an in-ground pool, and plenty of room for farming/gardening. So is this property more bang-for-your-buck than Monday’s property? Depends on what you’re looking for, but overall, yeah. We kind of think it is.
