The festival aims to shine a light on living smaller in order to reduce individuals and families impact on the environment. Tiny houses not only reduce a family’s carbon footprint, they can also be a solution to paying off a pricy mortgage over the course of three decades, provide an alternative for singles/couples/retirees who aren’t looking to invest in a big house, and the mobility to move or travel elsewhere – should you choose – while bringing your home along for the ride. Tiny home builders and expert speakers will be at the festival, which features a roster or presentations and workshops and becoming a Tiny House owner. The Tiny House and Green Living Freedom Festival will be held at the Ulster County Fairgrounds, 249 Libertyville Road, New Paltz, located five minutes from New Paltz village in Ulster County.
