Glamping in Upstate New York
Upstater | March 26, 2013We found a couple of great yurts last year for a 2012 glamping adventure — all the joy of camping without the actual tent. This year, we’ve found a few more.
Willowemoc Wild Forest Yurt, Livingston Manor A yurt on 50 acres in the Willowemoc Wild Forest, which abuts another 1000 or so acres of parkland, 8 miles from Exit 98 on Route 17. There’s a bbq, two twin-over-queen bunk beds, a deck and a bathroom with a composting toilet. Did you need something else?
Liberty View Farm Orchard Yurt
A yurt is one accommodation option on this orchard and farm.
Located in Oneida County, this nifty yurt is heated, with plumbing, and set within Nine-Mile Swamp.
Need we say more?
