Good Morning! Time to Hit a Retro Diner in the Hudson Valley
Kandy Harris | November 30, 2016Who’s hungry? We are, and we want a giant stack of pancakes, an omelette, and our choice of white, wheat, or rye toast. Good thing we’re in upstate New York where diners are plentiful, cheap, and mighty tasty. But with so many options, how do you choose?
Hudson Valley Mag gave us a fine list of fine diners recently, and while places like the Phoenicia Diner and Grazin’ in Hudson get plenty of love and press, places like the Martindale Chief Diner in Columbia County and Gracie’s Luncheonette (which started as a food truck in 2014) in Greene County are a bit more off the beaten path. Time for you to don your pants with an elastic waistband and slide up to the counter.
By the way, we would’ve added the Eveready Diner in Hyde Park, the Alexis Diner in Newburgh, and Ambrosia Diner in Catskill village.
