Hidden Cottage on Two Acres Less than 2 Hours from NYC, $95,000
Kandy Harris | January 11, 2016The “less than”s and “greater than”s are pointing in all the right directions on this Sullivan County cottage. Let’s check them off: It’s less than $100,000. It’s on greater than two acres of land. It’s located less than 2 hours from midtown Manhattan. The taxes were less than $5000 last year. And, it’s greater than a lot of similarly-priced properties on less land in other locations around the Hudson Valley and Catskills (by “greater,” we mean it looks pretty great!).
We like that corner fireplace in the living room. Very unique. And, despite its relatively small 850 sq. ft. size, the house manages to squeeze in a wee dining room. The listing touts a full renovation, we’re all about the amount of land that comes with it (plus detached workshop with guest room and custom BBQ/smoker in the wooded picnic area) and the fact that it’s situated in a private setting while still close to civilization.
153 Renovah Hill Road, Liberty (Berkshire Hathaway)
