Historic Saugerties Schoolhouse, $79,900
Kandy Harris | October 16, 2015Interior photos? Forget it. But we’ll just assume the worst and get on with it. This is the original Mount Marion one-room schoolhouse built in 1849. It’s a real charmer in person, half historic landmark, half historic ruin, so take a drive into Saugerties and check it out. It’s not in the village, mind you, but did you really need an excuse to go drive around the town of Saugerties during the peak of autumn? We didn’t think so. Schoolhouse is 660 sq.ft. (add 6 more feet and this would be a Halloween-themed post) with a half-acre lot size. Sits pretty close to the road, so we’re wondering if there’s a retail opportunity here.
736 Kings Highway, Saugerties (Weichert)
