After a hiatus, Paula Pell and James Anderson of Above Average Productions are back with a second season of “Hudson Valley Ballers.” The two comedians and SNL writers were recently interviewed about the web series on the Guardian, the entirety of which you can read here (and you should. It’s funny stuff), in which Pell revealed that the first season of HVB was filmed entirely in her Hudson Valley home. Not so this season, Pell told the Guardian: “This time we could actually get a bar and a B&B and a hardware store.” We can’t help but wonder where exactly they will be filming on-location in the HV, but we do know that we get a kick out of both the scenario (set in a B&B with a rotating cast of characters) and the jokes. The action begins in Pell and Anderson’s at their 30 Rock office, where they are just about to tell their boss, Lorne Micheals (yeah, that Lorne Michaels) that they’re leaving NYC for good for their new HV B&B. “You get it all set up,” Anderson tells Pell, “and I’ll join you a year later.” Watch the entire first season on Youtube, or pick up with the first half of the second season here. It’s funny and spot-on, but probably NSFW unless you’ve got headphones. Lots of adult language and situations afoot.

The second half of season 2 (episodes 5-8) drops this upcoming Wednesday, 8/5. Guest stars on the docket: Ana Gasteyer (ep. 5), Josh Charles (ep. 7), Cecily Strong (ep. 7), and Tina Fey (ep. 8).
