People, what are you up to this weekend? Get ready for some sap. If you missed last weekend’s upstate New York maple syrup festivities, there are still 134 places to visit and taste the sweetness of our maple trees, according to the New York State Maple Producers. And you can get a Chronogram deal to whet your maple whistle: $10 for a tour and tasting at Madava Farms in Dutchess County. You’ll get “A tour for two of Crown Maple’s state-of-the art sustainable process, culminating in a guided five-stage tasting in Madava’s newly designed Tap-Holed Maple Tasting Room. Also, be sure to experience their many walking trails, Chef’s garden, and orchard — or grab lunch at the farm-to-table cafe.”

Meanwhile, on the other side of the river, Watershed Post has news of tours throughout the Catskills. See you in the trees.
