Kingston’s Lace Mill Artist Co-op Now Taking Applications
Kandy Harris | February 17, 2015On your mark, get set…APPLY! RUPCO’s Lace Mill in midtown Kingston is now accepting applications for its 55-unit artist co-op complex from now until March 31. The 21-page application packet can be found here on the RUPCO website along with a few other important details, so if you or someone you know is a creative-type looking for a live/work situation, this might be a your ticket. According to a report in the Daily Freeman on 2/15, the complex is about 75% complete with full completion expected around June, and the 80,000 square foot building that once manufactured lace curtains will consist of 32 one-bedroom units, 17 two-bedroom units, 5 studio apartments, and 1 three-bedroom unit along with 8 shared gallery spaces over 8,750 square feet. Keep in mind that this is the initial application process. Once applicants are chosen, they will be placed into a lottery and screened for their rental, criminal, and rental histories.
