We are quite smitten with the interior of this New Paltz contemporary house for sale. Crisp and bright, it features an open floor plan with bleached wood floors, cathedral ceilings, formal dining room, and subway-tiled kitchen. Lots of space to spread out, too, with nearly 2700 square feet of space. While listing deems it a three-bedroom house, there’s a den on the first floor that could be used as an additional bedroom/guest quarters. Marble and subway tile adorn the three baths. Clearly, this house is impeccable. The photos speak for themselves.

The exterior look is a mix of 19th-century farmhouse, Craftsman, 1980s Contemporary, and Mid-Mod…and we don’t particularly love that mix of styles all together, but that’s a personal peccadillo. The refreshing interior of this house more than makes up for our picky-ness over facades. Plus, the 5.5 acre property upon which this home resides is pretty as a picture. Tree-lined and tucked-away, the land is situated on the west side of the Wallkill River, which runs north between the Hudson River and the Delaware River. It’s just north of Gardiner and south of New Paltz village in Ulster County, which means it’s also close to Mohonk, Minnewaska Preserve, and the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail. Love this area?
