On the Water in Saugerties, $299,500, with Eager Seller

Admittedly, it’s not the most charming house in the world (hence the main photo in the listing being of water views), and not much land. But, the water! It’s on the Esopus Creek, right where it connects to the Hudson. The proximity to the lighthouse! Close to beloved downtown Saugerties! Curious if anyone would be interested in this cute-ish little Cape Cod, despite its perching on .17 acres. Yeah, yeah, vinyl siding, saddish kitchen, and, judging from those soft-edged photos, it’s probably been listed on VRBO at some point in time. But, um, look at that nice deck, and it has a hot tub. Small enough that you could renovate it fairly inexpensively, I think.

The house was originally listed earlier this year for $369,000 and it didn’t sell so that’s good news for the buyer. Owner is apparently in a hurry to sell. Also, per the broker: it has both water views and water access.
