This Friday, October 16th, will be “Pay it Pink Day” in Rhinebeck. Helmed by Rhinebeck resident Mikki Glass, owner of With You Lockets, the event will gather local businesses to sell unique products in support of breast cancer research. Proceeds from the event will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Mikki Glass’ jewelry was born from the loss of her father to brain cancer. After creating an anklet with his portrait inside, so that she could be wedded and walk the aisle with his memory, the sentiment flourished into With You Lockets. To support a cause personally dear to herself, Mikki has partnered with the Rhinebeck Chamber of Commerce to begin the first, of hopefully many, “Pay it Pink Day.”

Businesses involved include FACE, offering mini-make up application for a $5 donation; Farnum Hill, providing free cider tastings; Shelter, serving pink cocktails, proceeds straight to BCRF; Samuel’s Sweet Shop, recently owned by Paul Rudd and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, selling pink cookies, proceeds all to the BCRF; and many more. Visit payitpinkrhinebeck.org for more information.

Partners Include: With You Lockets, Rhinebeck Area Chamber of Commerce, Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Tilden Marketing, Face Stockholm, Workers & Dreamers, Rhinebeck Department Store, Dorrer Jewelers, Blue Cashew, Stop and Shop, Farnum Hill, The Local, Shelter, Sugar Plum, Raleigh & Rakow, All About Travel, Waddle & Swaddle, Hundred Mile, Fiber Flame, Winter Sun Summer Moon, Willow Wood, LePetit Bistro and many others.
