Plan Ahead to be in Dutchess County for the Hudson Valley Hot Air Balloon Festival July 8-10

Now is the time to start making your July plans in the Hudson Valley. Are we jumping the gun a little? No way. Inns and hotels are booking up fast, so get our your calendars and start crossing off dates.

Here’s a suggestion: Dovetail a weekend trip to Dutchess County with the Hudson Valley Hot Air Balloon Festival, July 8-10. The festival includes hot air balloon launches starting at noon at Barton Orchards in Poughquag on Friday, July 8th and continuing through Sunday evening. General admission is $10 in advance, $12 tickets available in limited quantities at the gate. Migliorelli Farm in Tivoli is also hosting balloon launches on Friday and Saturday afternoon, and admission to those is free, the most beautiful word in the English language.
