Rental of the Week: Kingston Furnished House + Recording Studio, $2,100/month

Fully furnished rentals can be both a blessing and a curse: If the furnishings are good, then you’ve scored. If they’re not so great, then you’re stuck looking at them until you leave. So it’s a good thing that the former is the case with this place. And those who are either musicians or cohabiting with them (like us) certainly spent some time drooling over the studio in this house. But then, any room big enough to accommodate a mic’d-up drum kit in a house where you have no downstairs neighbors to complain about the noise could be considered a “recording studio”.
Regardless, this is a gorgeous 1,500 square foot rental on a whopping 20 acres right next to the Ashokan Reservoir. While it’s technically in the Kingston zip code, it’s a good 20 minutes away from anything resembling civilization, as long as you consider Woodstock and Kingston civilized (we do!).
