Rental of the Week: Red Hook Farmhouse, $2000/month

This is an amazing deal. Two grand a month gets you not only a pretty 2,400-square foot farmhouse, but the 16 acres upon which it sits. Tough luck if you don’t like the furnishings; you’re kind of stuck with them, since they come with the house. Everything looks good on the inside, and we love that big wraparound porch. The listing says it’s been up for rent since August 2010, which makes us wonder, what’s wrong with it? Yes, it’s rural, but some people are into that, and $2000 a month seems cheap. What gives? Why hasn’t this place been rented yet?
