The first words that came to our lips when we saw this amazing conversion were “ugh, this place is just disgustingly beautiful.” From the amazing worn floors to the original exposed beams, it just resounds with history, harkening back to a simpler time. We love how the original side door opens out onto a patio as well, and we’d definitely be out there in the summer looking over the beautiful adjoining pond. It’s also got a dock and a boat launch on Copake Lake for those who’d like to spend some time on the water.

“The Barn was a beautiful, spacious, unique, fantastic place for a group of 15 to enjoy a weekend. We had plenty of space to come together in the spacious kitchen and dining area, cooking and eating and enjoying time together, playing in the games area in the balcony, and enjoying the firepit outside. The lake is close and provides a great place to escape for a walk, a run, or a bike ride, and the Barn provides ways to enjoy all of it. The Barn was spotless, well appointed, and everyone loved it. I’d go back again and again.”

This is one of those rare properties where the grounds are just as compelling as the building. Set off the beaten path, we’d savor the beautiful views of the surrounding woods and the rolling mountains in the distance. Inside is lovely as well, with exposed beams and excellent wood floors, with a wide porch overlooking the grounds. With Woodstock and Saugerties close by, get some friends together and make a weekend out of it!

“What a wonderful experience! Barn on the Pond is a stunning property. The interior offered our group more than enough space to mix and mingle with each other while still affording each individual his/her own space and privacy. We cooked almost every meal in the well equipped kitchen. The surrounding property is beautiful and well maintained. Our group also made trips into Woodstock and Saugerties. Beautiful towns that are walkable. I have recommended Tripp’s property to friends and family. Thank you!”
