(Seasonal) Car-Free Country House: Jewel Box in Fleischmanns, $129,900

We added the caveat of “Seasonal” because it’s located about a mile and a half from the Fleischmanns Trailways Bus Station. While that might not work when the weather is horrible and nasty, it might be fine for someone with a bike, scooter, Segway, skateboard, or good pair of walking shoes. The upshot is, we really like this little house, and we wanted to write about it this week. See how we make up our own rules and then break them?
Yes, the interior needs some updating (so long, living room paneling!), but that swimming hole won us over, not to mention the red barn and the screened-in and outdoor porches.
The address says “Margaretville”, but it’s much closer to Fleischmanns (Delaware County), a place that’s about *this close* to becoming a Town of the Week. Stay tuned…
