A Snowbound Dispatch from Upstater

  |  March 14, 2017

Greetings from snowy upstate New York! While we hear that NYC’s snowfall for this blizzard has turned into freezing rain, here in the Hudson Valley and Catskills, we’re getting slammed with snow – around 20 inches so far in some parts – and blustery winds. This picture was taken on March 14th around 3pm in the village of Saugerties, and, as you can see, cars are being consumed by snow, and there’s still more on the way. For more about this crazy blizzard, check out hudsonvalleyweather.com.

Meanwhile, those of us here in the Hudson Valley/Catskills, we’re thankful, at least, that we’re not way up north near Lake Ontario, where this kind of absurdity is happening. Hope everyone is staying safe, warm, and inside where it’s cozy!
