Solve the Mystery of this Hunter Village Cottage, $89,000
Kandy Harris | October 13, 2015Call it a hunch, but we just have a feeling about this 2 bed/1 bath cottage in Hunter. There are no interior shots, and the listing says it needs a “complete renovation.” However, that doesn’t scare us away, especially when we get dreamy-eyed and start applying the inspiration we’re feeling off of this stylish Catskills cottage to this mysterious cottage also in the Catskills, just a 10-minute walk from the entrance to Hunter Mountain ski area. Here’s what we do know: It was built in 1925 and sits on a quarter-acre lot on the shores of the Schoharie Creek. That puts it well within flooding range, and we can’t help but wonder if that’s why this cottage needs a complete renovation. Perhaps the mystery isn’t such a mystery, after all. And yet…we still have a feeling about it…
