Spruced Up and Snug in this Sleepy Hollow Tiny House, $349,000

  |  June 21, 2017

The further south you go in Westchester County, the higher the residential real estate prices get. It’s that proximity-to-the-city thing, which is why we’ve been spending most of our week exploring properties listed for under $400K in Westchester County in the northern parts of the area. This cute cottage in Sleepy Hollow falls into that price range, and it’s located less than an hour from midtown Manhattan. It is, however, a tiny house at 698 square feet, so it’s nice that it manages to pack a lot of style into a little package.

The open floor plan (how else could it be in such a small house?) includes hardwood floors, high ceilings, and large windows to keep things nice and light. The kitchen includes a dining nook, and there are two decently-sized bedrooms, two full baths, and a small back porch. The back yard helps create a little enclosed space to enjoy the outdoors or plant a small garden. We feel compelled to mention, however, that railroad tracks run near the back of this property, which might be noisy from time to time. On the plus side, the property only has neighbors on one side since it’s located at the end of the street.

86 Howard Street, Sleepy Hollow (Sotheby’s)
