The Relocators: Hudson Valley Bucket List

  |  December 18, 2012

I am the type of person who has a one-track mind. I tend to get deeply focused on one thing…making everything else fall away. I can also get easily overwhelmed when I attempt to spin too many plates in the air.

Moving to a new area inevitably causes a I-wanna-do-that overload. For me, it began by grabbing every free paper and magazine I could get my hands on. Another source I tapped into was online events calendars, blogs and various websites that provide lists and lists of fun and interesting things to do in the Hudson Valley.

As I should have expected, I got overwhelmed. Added to the list of all the things I want to do, is the simple fact that we are still unpacking and setting up our house. We’re almost there, but it always takes longer than expected. Also, not only am I starting a new job, but I’m also changing the way I work at my job as I’m now working from home instead of commuting to the office every day.

It’s official sports fans….Kary is overwhelmed. Mark is less so…or at least he is better at hiding it. So I’ve decided to take a few deep cleansing breaths and accept the fact that I don’t have to have it all figured out NOW. I can take it easy and take it a little at a time. But one thing I thought I would do is begin a Hudson Valley ‘Bucket List’ for lack of a better term. So here goes, you can find the beginnings of it over on our Pinterest Board. What would you add? I’d love to hear some of your suggestions.
