There’s Still Time to Glamp in Ithaca
Upstater Staff | October 2, 2014Peak leaf-peeping time draws nigh. What better way to enjoy it than to surround yourself with the glory of it all in the great outdoors? Firelight Camps up in Ithaca takes reservations through November 2 and still has many of their fancy, well-appointed tents available to book starting at $155/night. What to expect from a stay at Firelight Camps on the grounds of La Tourelle Hotel: Glamping tents with private balconies, complimentary breakfast, trails, hammocks, a spa, a steakhouse, complimentary wine hour every night, and gatherings by the campfire. Ithaca is in the Finger Lakes region of the Adirondack Mountains, located about 4 hours north of NYC. It’s a bit of a hike, but it looks like a pretty camping escape without having to sleep on the ground. Reservation information here, and a photo gallery of the type of tents available can be found here.
