Livingston Manor’s Annual Trout Parade

This Saturday, June 11 Livingston Manor will celebrate its 13th annual Trout Parade, with pirate-inspired costumes this year. The parade starts at 1 pm, although events are scheduled throughout the entire day, beginning with live entertainment at 11 am, and concluding with an after-party event at Cabernet Frank’s Exit 98 in Parksville from 4 to 10 pm. The Art of Prepress for Photobooks at the Center for Photography at Woodstock

The Center for Photography at Woodstock is hosting a workshop titled The Art of Prepress for Photobooks, this Saturday, June 11, a workshop taught by John Mannion. Participants will learn how to make good files and proofs to ensure consistent quality for print. Mannion is the Master Printer at Light Work, and teaches in the Transmedia Department at Syracuse University. His work has been exhibited nationally, in museums such as the Everson in Syracuse, and Munson Williams Proctor in Utica. For more information, visit cpw.org.

Life, Animated at Upstate Films in Woodstock

Academy award-winning director Roger Ross Williams will be showing his latest documentary film Life, Animated, winner of the Directing Award at Sundance Film Festival, at Upstate Films in Woodstock, this Saturday, June 11 at 2 pm. Directed by Williams, Life, Animated, is based on the best-selling book by Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Ron Suskind. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Williams.
