Playing Mozart as Mozart Would Have Played Mozart at the Doctorow Center for the Arts

Catskill Mountain Foundation is hosting Playing Mozart as Mozart Would Have Played Mozart lecture and piano concert at the Doctorow Center for the Arts in Hunter this Saturday, June 18 at 2 pm. Dr. Jeffrey Langford, musicologist, and Dr. Joanne Polk, pianist, will discuss and perform on a 1783 Stein Viennese Pianoforte, the kind of piano Mozart would have played in his time. Poetry at Cross Contemporary Art Gallery

Cross Contemporary Art Gallery in Saugerties is hosting a Poetry Reading with Geoffrey O’Brien, poet, editor, film critic, translator, and cultural historian Saturday, June 18 at 5 pm. O’Brien will be reading from his latest collection of poetry In a Mist. Currently editor-in-chief of Library of America, O’Brien is a National Book Critics Circle Award Finalist, and a fellow of the Rockefeller Foundation, the New York Institute for the Humanities and The Guggenheim Foundation. Woodstock Area Garden Tour

Bird-On A-Cliff Theatre Company in Woodstock is hosting a garden tour this Saturday, June 18 to benefit its annual Shakespeare Festival, now in its 21st season. Private gardens in the Woodstock area will be open to the public from 10 am to 3 pm. Visitors can pick up detailed maps at the Woodstock Shakespeare Festival’s stage on Comeau Drive in Woodstock.
