Time for a Romantic Rhinbeck Village Weekend

  |  May 11, 2017

Looking for a romantic weekend for two in the Hudson Valley with the option to walk around town? Check out Rhinebeck village. A five-minute cab ride from the Amtrak train station in Rhinecliff will put you in the heart of the village. That’s right. Skip renting a car. Who needs that hassle?

How about this private suite in this Rhinebeck Victorian (this property is also on the market, as we mentioned earlier in the week) we found on AirBnB.com? Includes king bed, sitting room, and soaking tub large enough for two. Located on Livingston Street close to the Terrapin Restaurant, Gigi, Upstate Films, Oblong Books, and everything else. One-night minimum stay, $250/night.

Or, how about this studio loft with kitchen and queen bed? Also includes two sofas, TV with Roku, large dining room table, bureau, and closet. That’s a lot of room for just the two of you, and it’s a 1-2 minute walk from restaurants, shops, and the movie theater. Two-night minimum stay. $170/night.

Rhinebeck village is also home to the Beekman Arms, an historic inn that has been continually operating since 1766. The Colonial-style inn offers old-fashioned charm with modern comforts, and the Old Firehouse suite is one of the Beekman-Delamater Inn’s finer rooms. Originally the village firehouse, the accommodations feature a queen size bed, private bath, exposed brick, and decanter of sherry. Rooms at the Beekman Arms-Delamater Inn run from $189-$389/night.
