“Reforming New York’s Energy Vision” Panel at Bard College

This gathering was initially set for March 3rd, but due to that-powdery-stuff-that-shall-not-be-named, it was pushed back a week to Tuesday, March 10th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Inconvenient for the organizers, sure, but lucky for you, since you now have time to clear your schedule and make the drive to Bard’s elegant Weis Cinema in Annandale-on-Hudson. The panel will consist of representatives from New York State Public Service Commission, New York Independent System Operator, New York Power Authority, and Central Hudson, who will be sharing their different perspectives on Governor Cuomo’s plan to reform New York’s energy sector. The governor’s vision implies efficiency and innovation on a grand scale, so we can’t wait to hear input from these organizations on its implementation.

2015 Green Tourism Conference

Just in time for the summer rush of turistas to the Catskill and Pocono Mountain Regions, Hospitality Green, in partnership with the Delaware Highlands Conservancy, will be holding the 2015 Green Tourism Conference in Hawley, Pennsylvania on April 14th & 15th. The mission of the event is the same: increase revenue for the hospitality industry and supporting regional businesses through the promotion of sustainable tourism practices, but now that the conference is in its second year, there is sure to be a new energy driving the discussion as a larger audience of hospitality professionals joins to drink up the information presented by marketing savants, regional and national celebrity chefs, and green energy innovators.

This being a conference organized by hospitality enthusiasts, one can only imagine that attendees will be wined, dined, and entertained in good measure. One quick sneak peak: Hudson Valley Green Drinks will be co-sponsoring this year’s “Mixing it Up Green Drink Competition,” the kick-off event taking place at the conference’s opening reception. “Mixing it Up” will pit six brave and resourceful mixologists against one another to see who can produce the most delicious imbibement using local ingredients from Beacon’s Drink More Good.

So if you’re involved in some shape or form in the hospitality industry of New York, check out the 2015 Green Tourism Conference registration page here, or contact Hospitality Green at go.green@hospitalitygreen.com for more information!
