Ulster County Residents: Get Your Free Passes to Mohonk
Kandy Harris | April 14, 2015It’s that time again. Mohonk Preserve is offering Ulster County residents free one-month membership passes to explore all the beauty the preserve has to offer. The catch? You have to go get it in person. No hiding behind the Internets on this one, but having to show up to show proof of residency is a small price to pay for some of the most stunning scenery around. Go to the Preserve Visitors Center in Gardiner (GMAP) on Thursday, April 23 through Sunday, April 26 10am-4pm, or stop in at the Spring Farm Trailhead in High Falls (directions) April 25 & 26 10am-4pm. You’ll be able to utilize the preserve anytime it’s open through May 21 for free. Did we mention it’s free? Normal rates are $12/hiker, $17/biker/horseback rider/climber. Go make your spring a lot healthier for zero dollars. Don’t live in Ulster County? Maybe it’s time you considered it…
