Update Your Own Farmhouse in Shokan, $44,900
Kandy Harris | September 11, 2015Finding a house like this comes with equal measures heartbreak and hope. It’s a little heartbreaking that it’s broken down, but on the other hand, there’s so much potential for reviving it, we can’t help but feel hopeful that someone will come along and rescue it. Given that it costs around $18/sq.ft., it seems likely that will happen. Of course, we would love it even more if it had a bigger lot size, but that’s just us. Some parts of the interior don’t look half bad, and that finished attic space is a real bonus. Located right on Route 28 (can be seen from the road) 20 mins. from Kingston, 15 mins. from Phoenicia, 10 mins. to Woodstock, and close to the Ashokan Reservoir.
3168 Route 28, Shokan (Patty Conti Realty Group)
