Washington Post Loves the “Picture Perfect” Hudson Valley
Upstater Staff | April 8, 2016As we seamlessly transition into the weekend, let’s a take a lingering look at an article that recently appeared in Washington Posts’s Travel section touting the Hudson Valley as “picture-perfect” and achieves “the right balance of art, presidential history and food.” The piece takes a tour of the Hudson River towns from Fredrick Church’s Olana up in Hudson down to the Walkway Over the Hudson in Poughkeepsie, as well as a pop over to the west side of the river for a look at Cedar Grove (Thomas Cole’s home in Catskill village) and the village of Athens. Need a quick and dirty road trip guide for the weekend? WaPo’s article should do the trick. Happy adventuring!
