What’s Your Take on WSJ’s House of the Day in the Catskills?
Upstater Staff | June 22, 2016Did you happen to catch WSJ’s House of the Day on June 21st? It’s located in the Sullivan County town of Forestburgh in the Catskills, about 2 hours from NYC. The place is a sprawling 7000 square structure that was renovated in a modern masterpiece back in 2005 and includes a third floor loft added by current owner Richard Winer. The comments were less-than-kind to the look of this modern home, but we love the girders and breathtaking scale of it all. Also includes 3.75 acres of land.
Do you like it, too, and have $2.3 million burning a hole in your pocket, the house is currently on the market. Check out the listing photos for this singular Catskills property and marvel at the raised beds in the garden. What do you think of this property? Too cold and industrial, or ultra-cool and pleasantly lofty?
