You had No Idea Life Could Be This Good!
Ulster For Business | July 21, 2015
In today’s networked and connected world, many cutting-edge tech entrepreneurs are discovering new ways to successfully manage their business, raise a family, and enjoy a better quality of life—all at a lower cost, and less than 100 miles from Midtown Manhattan. True innovation means doing business differently in Ulster County.
Ulster County is connected not only by the Internet and the New York State Thruway: it offers another level of connection through the strength of its community. Unlike the often-isolating, sometimes claustrophobic experience that life in the city can create, Ulster has human-scale communities which support and nurture enterprising businesses, and increasingly welcomes transplants from places like New York City, Canada, the West Coast, and elsewhere. Ulster County’s lower business costs, educated workforce, abundant low-cost real estate, stunning landscapes, exceptional recreational opportunities, charming villages and towns, thriving cultural scene, 350 years of history, and easy access by car, bus and train to New York City, make it the logical choice for your business, and your home.
On September 12th, Ulster County’s Economic Development Alliance will be hosting up to 50 New York City technology entrepreneurs on an all-expenses paid day visit – the “Technology Entrepreneur Red Carpet Tour of Ulster County.” The first 50 qualified registrants will be picked up in Midtown Manhattan, and taken on a unique excursion which includes: numerous opportunities to network with local technology entrepreneurs based in Ulster County, lunch at Mohonk Mountain House (ranked by Conde Nast as the #2 resort/spa in the USA), and visits to Kingston’s famous farmer’s market and SUNY New Paltz. The day will conclude with a special sunset boat cruise on the Hudson featuring drinks, food, and the chance to connect with local business leaders, technologists, and elected officials. Guests will return to New York with a clear and broad understanding of how they too can Do Business Differently in Ulster County. If you are a New York City-based technology entrepreneur and would like to learn more about the Red-Carpet Tour of Ulster County, be sure to visit and register online by August 31st. Ulster County looks forward to seeing you.
