Taking a Break in Beacon, Part 2: 164 Spring Valley Street for $369,900

  |  December 7, 2017

Earlier today, we brought you a fabulous Colonial in the city of Beacon in Dutchess County. We liked it so much, we decided to stay in Beacon for the day during our Hudson Valley Walkable Towns Week this week.

We’re moving the party down the road from that house to 164 Spring Valley, where this Victorian is located. With a multitude of bells and whistles, this three bedroom successfully marries its turn-of-the-century charm with modern conveniences.

Includes new kitchen appliances, baths, furnace, and roof, as well as restored original walls and windows. Speaking of those windows, don’t you love the floor-to-ceiling ones that bathe the interior in sunlight? Upstairs master bedroom comes with vaulted ceilings and skylights. Wood floors throughout.

The yard might be small but it’s neatly-landscaped and comes with views of Mt. Beacon, the trailhead of which is a half-mile away. The Metro-North train station sits less than 5 minutes from 164 Spring Valley Street’s front door. Seriously, what is not to love about this house?
