All it takes is yet another major snow storm threat to get us thinking about an escape hatch. Behold: The vintage camper trailer. Now, these are nothing new (literally! See what we did there?), but it sure is fun to fall down the rabbit hole that is VintageCamperTrailers.com and look at some beautifully-restored mobile mansions. All that looking got our wheels turning, so we went hither to Craigslist to see what kind of vintage camper trailers are for sale in our neck of the woods. We found some possibilities in a 1971 Airstream with a glimpse at a cool interior, a 1962 Shasta Compact that you can pick up in Newhaven, CT., an intriguing monstrosity known as the 1976 GMC Eleganza, and a tantalizing ad with no photos touting a 1967 Airstream Overlander for a whopping $21,000. Need more convincing that upcycling an old camper trailer for your next trip to North/South Lake is the way to go? Feast your eyes on these beauties:
