3 Project Campers/Trailers that Need Your Renovation Skills

  |  December 1, 2017

What’s the Five-Figure Friday equivalent of our week of campers and portable homes? Why, a fixer-upper, of course, and we found plenty of fixer-upper campers and trailers in amongst the classifieds. If you’re handy with nuts, bolts, nails, and some electrical wiring (on second thought, HIRE AN EXPERT for this), you could land yourself one fabulous glamping trailer that will make you the envy of all your downstate friends.

Skylark Project Trailer For Sale – $750 or trade

This little number depicted above, is by the far the cheapest thing we have ever featured on this blog. The owner is open to trade, as well. The trailer’s issues are spelled out in the ad, but it does have working electricity.

By the way, the trailer is located in Delaware County, and you’ll need to come pick it up. Find out more here.

25′ Mallard Trailer in Columbia County NY- $2500

Due to a leak, the bedroom floor of this project trailer will need to be replaced. The interior and cushions, according to the ad, are in good condition. Other than that, this camper remains a mystery. At least it’s in Columbia County so it’s not too far away to go take a look.

Contact the seller through the Craigslist ad here.

School Bus for RV Conversion – $3500

Become the ultimate upcycling hipster by transforming this bus into a Tiny House on wheels. This 1997 diesel bus has 135,800 miles on it, and the seats have been removed and the interior stripped for seating area/kitchenette/sleeping area. If that sounds like your kind of project, it’s parked in Saratoga County NY.

Get on the bus, Gus, starting with the Craigslist ad here.

This, of course, sent us down a rabbit hole of bus-to-RV conversions, and here’s what we found…
