Car-Free Upstate: Rhinecliff Two-Story, $245,900
Kandy Harris | April 30, 2014For a while now, we’ve had a tough time thinking of Rhinecliff as a viable car-free option in spite of the Amtrak station. It’s one thing to be able to walk to your place from the train, but it’s another if you need things like, oh, you know, food and stuff. But now Rhinecliff has a corner grocery, so it’s not quite so implausible to try it without a car (although again, living upstate car-free is a tough, if not impossible, prospect). This cute vintage two-story is but a 2 minute walk away from said corner store, which is located on Schatzell Street, and a 3 minute walk away from the train station. Yes, it’s pricy for what it is, which is a 1,112 square foot, 3 bed/1.5 bath house with a postage stamp as a yard, but for Rhinecliff, it’s par.
Beds: 3
Baths: 1.5
Square Feet: 1,112
Lot Size: .06 acres
Taxes: $3,177
23 Corning Street, Rhinecliff (Houlihan Lawrence) GMAP
