Renovation-Ready Barn in Kingston, $75,000
Kandy Harris | April 3, 2015
You want a five-figured converted barn? Then you’re going to have to convert it yourself. This one in Kingston’s Rondout area has no heat, electricity, plumbing, or much of anything else. But what it lacks in….well, everything, it makes up for in pure, raw charm. In case you are unfamiliar with the Rondout, it’s one of the coolest neighborhoods in the city of Kingston, so named for being situated right on the Rondout Creek. What say you, artists/craftspeople/folks who make stuff? Could you make this barn a little hotbed of creative energy? We’d like to see someone do it and then send the post-renovation pictures. Before you dive, though, you should take a look at this list of things to consider before converting a barn. Eye-opening.
