A Five-Figure Tiny House in the Woods: $95K
Jane Anderson | August 16, 2024Wrapping up our week in Coxsackie, Upstater is visiting a partially finished tiny house in the woods.
Coming in at a five-figure price point, it has a 200-amp electric service, but no septic or well in place yet. It sits on 3.27 acres.
The listing describes it as eco-friendly, with a dry-flush toilet and a grey water system that’s prepped for a shower and sink. Plumbing is in place for a shower, too.
The home already has WiFi (priorities, am I right?)
The 140-square-foot abode is set in a lush woods.
The windows and roof are new.
The exterior still needs some finishing touches.
Still, there’s a flat part of the land that would accommodate a 1,500-square-foot new build, according to the listing, if local regulations allow for it.
It’s got a climbing apparatus for kids, for some reason. Or perhaps throw some canvas over this contraption for a mini-glamping opportunity.
The setting is particularly pretty in the sunlight. Technically, it’s west of the village, in the hamlet of Climax. Yet it’s still under a 10-minute drive to downtown Coxsackie for a sandwich at The Yellow Deli.
