A Little Red Woodstock Cottage
Jane Anderson | July 30, 2025
This little red Woodstock cottage is just too cute.
Celebrating its 100th birthday this year, the adorable house on an adorably named road—Library Lane—is spiffed up and ready for its next owner to fall in love with it. Spoiler: We already have fallen in love, alas from afar.
First off is this cute lil porch nook.
The interior is a celebration of color. The backdrop to a woodburning stove catty-corner to the staircase has squares of supremely colorful mosaic tiles running up the wall.
A quartet of skylights illuminates a cathedral-ceilinged, gorgeously lit seating area that has sliders out to the deck.
The kitchen has cherry tones in both the flooring and the cabinetry, which is topped with dark granite counters. Black appliances (including a double-oven range) are a sharp contrast. A dining area sits…
…here, next to a mullioned-glass door to the outside.
Extra-special touches abound, like this cleverly cut doorway.
An office has imposing cabinetry and a hardwood floor.
We can’t call this a half-bath. It’s an old-fashioned “water closet,” right? We love it.
This bedroom is *chef’s kiss* from the yellow walls to the hardwood flooring and that cool dormer, all the way up to the vaulted, planked ceiling.
That mosaic tile we admired by the woodstove? Yeah, it’s here for us to examine closely while we soak in this clawfoot slipper tub. We know you’ll eventually choose a favorite tile outta all of these petite artworks. Ours? The red eft, natch.
Shyness doesn’t apply here at all, from the wall color to the artwork. Home sweet home means the owner expresses their authenticity.
The house sits on a 0.38-acre lot and has a nice outdoor deck for grilling and entertaining.
Oh look, there’s an even littler red cottage in the backyard.
Wow, it’s a livable space. Skylights punch through a vaulted ceiling overlooking a living room and kitchen nook.
It’s got the basics, including an electric, two-burner stove. No oven, but for real there are so many countertop options now for that.
A skinny shower stall has shelves for allllll the toiletries in this bathroom.
Look how cute.
This gets better and better: It’s a block off Tinker Street. No joke. It’s a quarter-mile to Bread Alone Bakery. And the cost for two Woodstock homes on a third of an acre? $799,000.
