A Modern Mountain Retreat
Upstater | December 18, 2013We found this place over on Houzz: a modern house in the Catskills design by Resolution: 4 Architecture, known for building the first Dwell prefab house and helping to foment the prefab-modern movement.
This 1,800-square-foot house is perched partially on concrete stilts, which both support the great room and carve out parking spots below. The owner is heavy into rock climbing, so the rocks they blasted to make way for the house are used as outdoor seating and to line the entry path.
More photos after the jump.
