A Renovated Arts & Crafts Home in Beacon: It's a half-mile off Main Street.

Today, Upstater is visiting a recently renovated Arts & Crafts home in Beacon.
It’s so new, the landscaping isn’t done yet: The green you see is kinda virtual. But the house is real, with brown-and-white siding and a welcoming front porch.

There’s just enough room for a chair or two.

The front door opens to the center stairwell and a living room to the left that has a bow window alcove.

The open-concept layout leads to the kitchen, which is brightly lit with clean white cabinetry. A brick column is a nice accent.

Stainless-steel appliances are accented with a shiny gray-tiled backsplash.

Follow the light hardwood stairs up to a similarly clad second floor.

The sole bathroom in the house is on the second floor, with marble flooring and a marble-topped blue vanity. The oversized shower has glass doors.

Two bedrooms are separated by the center stairwell. This room has white walls and a light hardwood floor.

The second bedroom is a bit bigger, with an angled part of the ceiling that adds character.

The laundry room is in the unfinished basement. There’s potential here for the new owner.

An outdoor deck allows for alfresco grilling and dining.

The house is just over 1,000 square feet in size, and sits on about a tenth of an acre. Melzingah Tap House on Main Street is a half-mile away.
