A Tuxedo Park Cottage: Cotswold vibes in a former carriage house.
Jane Anderson | March 1, 2025
This Tuxedo Park cottage looks like it was pulled straight from the Cotswolds.
A former carriage house/gardener’s residence, the stone house has a peaked roof and Tudor timbered gables. The rear of the house opens to this beautiful, stone-walled courtyard.

The interior is sleek and beautifully lit. The living room’s fireplace has a white mantel backed by exposed brick up to the ceiling.

We love the original hardwood flooring, too.

A dining area sits in a corner next to glass doors that open to the courtyard. A modern chandelier dangles above the table.

White subway tile climbs the wall behind the table up to the second-story loft railing.

The kitchen echoes that subway tile in its backsplash. Cabinets are black, with white granite countertops.

A laundry area hides behind slim doors.

One of the two bedrooms has leafy views from two exposures.

The loft area is big enough for a sleeper sofa for guests.

Another sofa appears in, of all places, the bathroom. Yes, really: A vessel sink sits atop an antique table on an adjacent wall, and the shower stall is between the two.

A clawfoot tub is across the room from the shower.

A dormered window sheds light on the bed in the second bedroom.

The courtyard is a dream in the springtime and summer.

A covered front porch offers shelter on rainy days. Situated in Tuxedo Park, this cottage has access to exclusive amenities like the main clubhouse, tennis, boating on Tuxedo Lake, and other bonuses. For a fabulous breakfast, Dottie Audrey’s Bakery Kitchen is under a three-mile trip.
