A Two-fer Friday in Marlboro
Jane Anderson | September 5, 2025
Happy Friday! Today, Upstater is in the Ulster County area of Marlboro, an apple-orchard-centric Hudson River-side town.
These two bungalows are a throwback to when the area was a vacationland in the 1930s. The charm remains, in the petite full front porches, cheery yellow siding, and calming symmetry.
Together, the homes comprise an interior space of 1,342 square feet, so divide that somewhat unequally (accounting for one home having one bedroom, the other having two) and you’ll get the picture. The living rooms aren’t huge, but they are livable.
The dining room is open to the living room in this bungalow.
The kitchen is petite but functional, with a green center island and bicolor cabinets. A side door leads to a sunroom.
What a bucolic view.
A glass corner shower is in the bathroom just off the kitchen.
The first bungalow has one bedroom, and the second has two. This one is a good size, with a closet to boot.
The second bungalow is a shade bigger, but still has a charming porch and hydrangeas aplenty.
The interior aligns closely with that of the first bungalow. Here’s the second bedroom: It’s fully carpeted.
The kitchen is a bit bigger in the second bungalow, as well.
The homes share a half-acre lot that’s a half-mile from Marlboro’s main drag and great music at The Falcon. Both homes are being sold together for a total list price of $475,000.
